Dr. Clive Houston-Brown has worked in the field of higher education for over 30 years, primarily in support of institutional technologies. During the past six years his area of responsibility has expanded to include capital projects, facilities management, and campus safety & transportation. As Vice President for Facilities and Technology for the University of La Verne, an institution that has many educational support programs in Pomona, he often works with peers on initiatives aimed at exposing Pomona Unified students to college life. While he lives in La Verne, Clive has had strong ties to Pomona through his church (Purpose Church of Pomona) and as a member of the Rotary Club of Pomona. In addition to local projects in Pomona, Clive leads annual Rotary District 5300 clean water & sanitation project efforts in Africa in partnership with the Cirque du Soleil’s OneDrop water foundation. Clive earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, a Master in Systems Management from Golden Gate University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of La Verne. He also serves on the Boards of Pomona Rotary, Pomona Hope, and Global Ministries at Purpose Church. Clive has five children and a granddaughter and loves to travel internationally.
